Kayla Von Der Heide, Leon Majcen, Madison Hughes
January 21 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm CST
Leon Majcen grew up in the beach town of Clearwater, Florida. He picked up the guitar at the age of nine and got his start playing open mics at local bars and coffee shops. He was inspired by the lyrical genius of artists like Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash and Townes Van Zandt.
His single “Love and Misery” made its way onto SiriusXM’s The Coffee House Channel and captured the attention of folk music lovers across North America, helping him build a nationwide fan base. His upcoming album, Back ‘till I’m Gone, an artistic creation that was recorded with the help of a good friend and producer Andrew Boullianne at Lala Mansion Recording Studio in Tampa, FL.
Kayla Von der Heide is a singer-songwriter originally from the Mojave Desert in Southern California and she recently moved to Bisbee, AZ. Kayla travels alone in the desert and gathers inspiration to create original music, photography/videos for her music and sometimes candles. Her work is inspired by her adventures and her pursuit to bring life back into the things that have gone forgotten. Her photography and videography capture the lonesome (and sometimes haunted) places that she finds interesting on the road and she incorporates her music into her videos to create a scene and a vision that almost seems back in “sepia tone” time.
In a world where you can be anything, be yourself. That’s the mantra, performer/singer Madison Hughes, 26, has embraced. Originally from Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, Madison’s musical journey began at 10 years old when she started taking guitar lessons with her dad. Then came the realization of her gift and love for after she entered her fifth-grade talent show and received a standing ovation for her performance of “Wild Thing.” From this newfound inspiration, she gained a new level of confidence and belief in herself, which served as a catalyst in her eventual singing career.
